'Route 38' are a Plymouth based band playing Dark Americana music. They are influenced by Gothic Americana, Dark Americana and Folk Punk music driven by banjo, fiddle, guitar and bass. This, mixed with modern themes, has given their original music a contemporary twist.
The main band comprises a duo of Liz (vocals, guitar, banjolele, cajon) Hywel (bass guitar) and Julie (fiddle).
With a shared love of live music and a unique sound, ‘Route 38’ has been playing local pubs and festivals. They have built up a repertoire of original material and their own interpretations of existing songs.
